Go back and look at motw strat forums bfme2. check around smikies and merc vice's times. Became less popular when later patches increased the speed of motw infantry (it was like 35 originally) Its much less common in rotwk because at least 3 factions, if they pay any attention at all, can nullify tactic with their early basic rax units.
I do use it a fair bit as a bridging strat if I want to go heavy on cav and want to buy myself some less hassled time to boom
EDIT: just watched the rep GG both Actually that was kinda different; more like an intermediate rax instead of forward. Why did u build it on your side of the reiver instead of his? Like at the spot he built his second forge? Nice work isolating his pike force btw. Loved to watch the koda kill that lame ass dwarf dain too
Hm i didnt know both rangers are exactly the same, was that changed during the patch or i was noob and not knowing it all the time ?
Abouth why i build the rax on my side of the ford, because then its still close enough to maybe go and defend while if im on his half of the map, its rly more or less that i can only harras, because going back would take too long.
Lol I thought I really made to much mistakes for it to be silver, though if it is like this I congratulate Hellboy cuz he did really play good imo.
BTW people don't act like idiots. He played good as I say, but some points I really, really messed things up on ways that I shouldn't have done. So plz get lost with ur "GG both" crap and just say things like they are : Hellboy, GG. Nerevar, play better. Period

imo its worthy to silver so silver it is, juan or nerevar, can 1 of you put this into the silver reps topic and in the staff replay archive thx. (I dont really have annytie left to do this)
MM I donno I think FW rax when executed properly can be dangerous for any faction. Not necessarily a big risk if you put it on the right place and protect it with the right means I think.
And personally I think it could even work better when the other army is not dwarves. It's not bcs it's not suggested in a strategy guide or approved by the top of the community that it's a bad strategy. As he says, who has tried it so far and thus has proper criticism.
