Personally i was very surprised to have won that match. It was looking very bleak for me, and if the scathis was targetted on my pgen fab farm, i dont think i would have had a chance.
And that monkeylord attack on me was basically a gift of mass, it was good for me :-)
And btw i also had lag and had big issues with delays on command, because of this i did offer a draw.
Some raiding with gunships, or scu's around teh sides could have caused some serious grief also.
I think it is. For one thing, it's HP were increased to about 17k, and the energy requirement was dropped by a lot, it's either 10k or 30k energy per shot now. The only downside and reason to not build it is the fact that both other Cybran experimentals are a lot cheaper. Soul Ripper is only 20k metal, I think Scathis is around 60k, not sure, but it's a lot more.
Not to mention the fact that if you're actually lucky enough to be able to produce 2 or 3 Scathis, basically nothing will stop them but killing them.
From now on, when I get into terribly long games like my last one against PescoBill, I'm going: 2 Soul Rippers (for defence against ground assaults) then spamming Scathis, T3 SAM's, and Nuke Defence. I wonder what will happen.
