It started out well. I knew if I waited to long the Aeon wouldve gained a foothold on all islands, so I headed for him directly. Unfortunatly I lacked a plan how to continue afterwards, being locked out from the water did cost me a few games already... (and focusing to much on it left me trailing everywhere else).
You should work on teching up earlier. You could easily reach T2 and build T2 power generators + T1 mass fabs several minutes earlier than you are now.

Sorry, but that wouldnt have helped. I needed spare mass & energy for the drop, those PD-turrets are expensive and you want to build them fast. So no T2 before that. After that I messed up. I figured "another drop and hes gone" as I brought him down to 1000 HP. If I wouldve sent a T1-Gunship I probably wouldve won. The next drop failed and then I got to T2. I had a fairly huge eco-advantage anyway (doubt a bit more wouldve made the difference), but I shouldve just forget about a 3rd or 4th drop and dealt with the ship instead.
Prolly creeping T2-PDs to the coast and then powerbuilding subs wouldve been the best choice.
Having a bigger economy always helps. Why did you ask for advice if you're going to ignore it? Good players never stop building their economy up; both you and your opponent didn't do that. It's seriously the biggest mistake you both made. If you just started doing that you could easily wipe the floor with opponents like this.
Sorry, but I kinda expected something more in relation to the replay, like "after that first drop you should have teched Air up ASAP, build 5 T2-Gunships and finish him" Or at least said *when* you`d think I shouldve teched up (while noting that I cant spend those resources elsewhere during that time). If you mean as soon as possible (without early transport), then I gotta counter that Im going nowhere on this map without transports, especially against an aeon that can easily take both islands with nothing more than T1-Land units.
Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt post a replay if I couldnt stand a bit of critism. But I just cant make out what you were trying to say (other than the obvious T2>T1 and bigger eco = better), even with more eco I would still have to fight back - and the big question is: how?
1. Go for the mass points, get atleast one of the island, asap. Use the Comm if you have to. 2. Never ever ever ever... let the opponent have control of the sea. If you lose sea control, you lose the game, because the T2 destroyers will bomb you to death. Trust me on this one.
