Now this is DFTH, an above-average Cybran player who beat me last time we fought on theta passage. Naturally, him being cybran and this being finns, I didn't think he'd much stand a chance against me. The game got off to a good start for me...
But then things went awry. The way he fought was rather incredible, he took out my intel and my mex, I was down to 4 mex and 0 radar/0 scouts/0 air scouts are one point, iirc. I was down on resources and fighting blind. And what's worse is that he had a naval yard somewhere and it was only a matter of time before he attacked me with destroyers. I swore I was finished....
This is one of the best replays I've seen so far. It shows how quickly good players can adapt to situations (land, sea, and air) and fully use the new units to their advantage. That's exactly what we average players cannot do.
When this last major rebalance patch came out I was beginning to think this game was getting too defensive, but players like these show again and again it isn't the case.
Nice game, though if the cybran player had of taken the oportunity to finish off those 3 mexes his com was in range of it would of left you with 1 t2 mex and no chance of coming back. He also could of made your comm retreat by using that first gg to attack him instead of going straight to your base, injured comm + no income woulda been game over.
Funk did awesome to come back, its very demoralising when your intel is taken away for so long.
