I'm building twice the mantis at half the speed. Provided we are looking at periods of time >> 10 seconds we will have the same amount of mantis at any time.
The *only* time a mass deficit is bad is if you need one particular thing quickly. Even then you can just pause the unnecessary things.
Oh well, we just cant agree this time. Even if you are right (which i cant tell for sure because im lazy) you still are at an considerable disadvantage because of the mass your factories did cost
