I questioned some silver replay a while ago and was told that a silver replay is bassically a decent replays that shows good gameplay. Maybe we are suppost to have more silver replays that show this kind of gameplay level and above, I guess RRs are just being a bit careful moving replays here.
I wasn't at my best in this game and I guess FunkOff knows better too, I think this game was more intense than it might seem, for some reason I had no time to do anything above what i've been doing. oh well, least I enjoied it
To be honest yes I do believe this is well below average performance by both players. Don't get me wrong, being in TFU with Funkoff, and having a great deal of respect for Eshez also means it's not easy to criticize. The thing is this looks like both players had an off day.
Seeing a game between these two great players on Theta, and being in silver I was expecting something great. However I totally disagree with the reviewer on multiple points.
The reviewer says that both players had "Good use of commander as a offensive unit", sure they both used them offensively however they both only went to the half way vertical mark. Funkoff could have easily overcharged the two point defense that he faced and totally obliterated Eshez's base early game. It seemed the commanders went forwards then back without really achieving anything that set the game.
Also the reviewer seems to be concerned with the little amount of factories that Funkoff built, I was more horrified with the huge amount of factories that Eshez built. This map is small, and is usually back and forth for a bit, this map can only really sustain about 5 factories before everything just grinds to a halt.
Maybe a 2 or 3 out of 10 was a bit harsh but if 5 is average and this is below average then there isn't much option.
Saying that this game was bad doesn't insults me and im pretty sure its the same way for funkoff.
I didn't watch this game and as far as I could remember it was allright, maybe im just wrong .
About the offensive commander issue tho, I've never seen a commander walking into an enemy base which has two PDs up and lives to tell about it. The damage He would take at first might not kill him, but I would be bringing all my forces to close on him and I doubt he would survive that.
Maybe I should just watch this before I speak, too bad the version is absolete
