Wow... just wow. I'm just getting the hang of SupCom again, it's been a long time since the beta (was waiting for the Audigy issue to get fixed). Much to my suprise, T2 is king this patch. My base is quickly leveled by T2 tanks, and I'm forced to flee. I head around to his base and toast his factory, then again run away. Long story short, I was holed up on a rock and he had his comm so conveniently sitting in the water there... well, it just goes to show that you never give up, and you never let the enemy's surviving bases fester...
He asked me to leave once he had wiped away my main base and 1st island. He called me, and I quote, "the worst player ever" (not that I blame him), but he left open his side of the map, so I claimed it as my own, built some subs and blew him out of the galaxy.
Damn I've missed this game.
Edit: what say I actually attach the replay...

He had no right calling you the worst player ever. You may not be the best, but you sure are inventive, which makes for a fun game without solid bases established. You could have done better with your energy when you were rebuilding on those two small isles, for quite some time you had just the power your comm gave you, which just isnt enough
Probably the only reason you survived and even won is that your opponent was weak, he didnt rebuild any land factories and was constantly wasting mass. Also he insisted on building a naval factory right under your nose.
As a matter of fact i think you played good. Everyone can rush to T2 these days. However, you made a very good decisions, like using your commander to kill his base, not giving up, securing both islands, rebuilding at this starting position, exploiting his weakness (not scouting) etc.
To be exact, your opponent was playing so stupid. He didnt rebuild his base at your starting spot. When he had 10 energy income he tried to build powerplants AND an air scout. You played better, easy as that.

Yeah, I didn't put two and two together when he blasted that hydrocarbon plant I stole that I was dependent on it for power. I also noticed that all I got from reclaiming my PD was being easily knocked off that island. How does the reclaim system work nowadays?
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed watching, as I certainly enjoyed winning, especially after all that noise he made telling me to leave and let him win. He got impatient, and it cost him. I'll be sure to remember how effective amphibious comm assaults are on opponents who tech up a single factory.
The "worst player ever" thing came right after our little Bikini Atoll reenactment, so he was probably just pissed off.
In the beginning reclaiming gave you resources proportional to the amount reclaimed (at a max of 80% i think, but i wasnt around then). This was changed to make factory-reclaiming inefficient.
You now get resources only after you complete the reclamation.
I think he just got complacent after toasting your base, i mean, who on earth continues a serious game with just 1 air factory
This guy sucks. Wow, he knows how to rush to T2 on Finns. Hooray for him. The fact that he lost is completely pathetic I was dumbstruck. After you fled and destroyed his base he did nothing, clearly he knows one single trick, how to rush to T2. Thats it.
He is one of the worst players I have ever seen. You did ok, given you stated that you haven't played in a while.
