Starting positions: Rohan/DaY^MiNiJames - West Gondor/[DT]Shadow - East
Overview:
A very entertaining Rohan vs Gondor. The rep is from quite a while ago so not the most recent strats used, but still a very high standard of play. There are lots of nice battles and it is never really clear as to who will win until the end. Some timely uses of AotDs brought the game almost to a stalemate, constantly fending off each others attacks. A very good game, definately worth a watch. GG Guys.
Rohan/DaY^MiNiJames
You played a very interesting game. I would not build 4 inside farms even if losing an outside one. You knew that you would have been retaking it and could have afforded to rebuild it even as your stables was building. You did some nice creeping with Theo to gain GC, but after your first Enting i think it would have been far more beneficial to have gone for upgrades and Aragorn to follow up your attacks. Instead you chose to Ent again but it was not so effective as he already had FA and so held you off. Upgrades would have meant that you could hold MC much easier and so would have been able to build up your army quicker. When in battles keep Ara back with your army, he dies too quick without Anduril and you need his LD. Just split your army up into 2 groups in very late game, so 1 AotD does not kill everything you have. A good performance, made a great game of it, WP.
3 inside farms max before stables
stay away from fara with upupgraded horses (even with Theo LD)
faster upgrades after your initial enting
Keep Ara back with your army in battles, you need his LD, and he dies so quickly without Anduril
In late game stages, try and keep your army split, so AotD doesnt kill everything
Gondor/[DT]Shadow
You played a very nice game. Just make sure that you continually use faras WA on retreating rohirrim, to gain extra experience and PP. Remember to keep your knights constantly active, especially after the Ent rush where you were a little crippled and needed the extra farms outside. I would have put a higher priority on upgrading your knights here, it would have really helped you to take back some MC and improve your econ. When Gandy arrives make sure you always mount him, because you didnt he was unable to run and was killed by horses after a battle. Throughout the game you executed some good use of summons but there was a point where you wasted rohirrim allies, and attacked Aragorn with them, they were killed easily and it resulted in Ara rank 10 which made the game a whole lot more difficult for you to close out. However a very good display, GJ.
remember to keep WA retreating rohirrim for PP and exp.
remember after Ent rush to keep knights active to regain some MC
faster upgrades to your knights, more useful keeping MC
always mount Gandy
you were feeding Ara with Rohirrim allies and gave him rank 10
Overall Rating:8 RotWC and Promoted to Gold
