The last game we played went GOLD as me playing GONDOR. This is a spectacular game as well, with some good strategy and super expert Balrog use, super duper wooper rediculous. lol. One of the better games. And Isengard is a newer race I am starting to play.

Nice Game cool2.gif

Gondor
Gondor had a flawless early game going for early Horse shields for harassment & main attack force. Soldiers of Gondor were also a great unit choice for the main attack force.

Micro was very bad however and Gandalf did next to nothing for his cost all game. Imo a levelled up Boromir would have been a far more cost effective character choice to stun all those Bannerless Pikes. smilie_naughty.gif

After the first attack was beaten off, instead of trying to take expansions and build a late game economy a second failed attack on main lost the game for him. After losing so many high grade characters and units Gondor virtually gave Isen the Balrog for nothing . If Gondor had scouted with Cav to see where the Isen army was he would have thought twice about that second attack i’m sure and take one or both of his expansions.

IsenGard
A very solid game from IsenGard defending against some fast ‘arrow resistant’ Gondor assaults and some excellent Balrog use late game. (I think you had 1 second to spare after destroying the last farm.)

If that AoD had chased the Balrog I think the replay file would have been a lot bigger than 157.33k; not sure why they ran off.

I can't believe Sagat posted this LOL

I took such a advantage early game then got cocky and lost Gandalf and 6000 like 4 times. I held off all troops and waited for him to come out just to lose him to like FOUR pikes. Very fun game, quite a few laughs :-P Teaches me to underestimate my opponents lol. SO MUCH FOR THAT BAHH

the balrog useage in the end was nice. ^^

Feel free to download this if you wanna have a good laugh. Isengard forgot a armory, and I lost Gandalf like a noob like 3 times.

haha, i was observing during their game and Sagat played a good game, but HERO could have put it away much sooner imo and ended up giving it away. tongue.gif HERO made a few costly mistakes with bad micro, which... if you watch any of HERO's games he NEVER does. He probably has the best cav micro of anyone.. so i believe him when he says he got cocky.

Pretty exciting game to watch tho. smile.gif

My early game was clutch. Then I saw that Isengard was going down, and I was like eh, whatever, so I stopped unit production and upgrades just to get Gandalf. BIG mistake there. 6000 for 1 unit, under rain, and no support = DEAD. I gave that game up, BAD HERO BAD.

Bad game for Gondor players to watch. Its not something you should copy :-P

Isengard vs Gondor
[EPIC]Sagat vs [EPIC]HERO

Nice game with certain new things, sagats double uruk pit and uruk spam for example, there were many battles, a lot of trash battles, gondor wasted his soldiers a couple of times when attacking isengards base. Isengard took the outposts, made pike-xbow combos and let them defend the outposts. Gondor took some settlements, but not all, coz each settlement was defended by pikes.
Isengard gets balrog a lot sooner than gondor AotD, which is most of the time very unlikely. The first balrog and a couple of pikes and uruks were the death stab to gondor, isengard finished gondor with a 2nd balrog.

[EPIC]Sagat:
Double uruk pit with a lot of uruk spam (uruk spam means uruks/xbows/pikes), quite a risky strategy, coz you got upgrades quite late, though you could remain "mapcontrol" on your own side. Gondors army was a couple of times superior to yours, but somehow you managed to survive and HERO managed to lose all units. sad.gif Gondor is attacking like a madman, though it did not hurt you much, but it prevented you from attacking him. Very well played as always, but the use of the first balrog could have been better, because you were standing at the gate for a long time. The uruk spam at the beginning was the most remarkable and probably the reason that you won.
7.5

[EPIC]HERO:
Good play, constantly attacking and spamming soldiers/tgs and knights (even Gandalf revive spam tongue.gif ). No lame stoneworks, but just play as it should be. Couple of mistakes and a lot of times uncareful, with your units and Gandalf. You lost an awful amount of infantry, I think you should save them, by getting time to build more. I thought the eagles would turn the tide, but unfortunately they did not. You could have built a market, then I am sure you would have enough money. Very nice and entertaining that you did not stop with spamming soldiers and tgs.

My feeling says Silver, coz both players did not give the full 100%, HERO was uncarefull and both players were more or less trashing their armies, which gives a lot of fun, but not really the thing which we are used to, of you both.

This went Silver? UGH.

I never, ever make Gandalf in serious match up against Isengard, expecially when I dont see Saruman as a threat. Its economically ineffective because I could have 6000 gold worth of units and upgrades. Only when I feel as I've won easily and want to go out in a bang then I make such a expensive unit. For morale purposes lol. Instead, I got that pride and ego shoved back down my throat by Sagat's funky Isen. That game was too careless on my behalf and I should of never been so cocky. It shames me; seeing how I preach Gondor strategy and go against what I said. Gondor players, DO NOT follow this replay by any means. It truely defined the FFG genre of laughs and giggles.

The ONE thing I loved about that replay was the 2nd Balrog. He escaped my AoTD the second I casted it upon him. Very nice work Sagat. I've only seen it done a few times.
