Starting positions:
Gondor/daii- - West
Isengard/Ph4T^o^Th3^LanD - East

Overview:

An interesting Gondor vs Isen, Isen started well and managed to get uruks forward quickly and force a bad first EW placement. Gondor played a very nice game in follow-up and managed to retake control of the game. Some good base raids kept isen's economy subdued and allowed Gondor to build up an army that was uncounterable by an isen in this position, especially with the EW placed right outside the base.

Gondor/daii-

Basically this was a very well played game from you. I would recommend a 2 Farm start over a Blacksmith + Farm start although this was ok considering you didnt know the MU (random). This way you can get faster horses out and will help you even if you lose your outside farms. Try not to slow down your horses, dont build too many buildings between batts so that you can get them out asap and try to rush him with HS. After your rather shaky start you dominated, breaking through his containing lines and conducted some excellent base raids doing some real damage to his economy. You showed some very nice horse micro throughout the majority of the game, just try to keep them a little more split up so you can harass the whole of the map. Once you had your army out there was very little your opponent could do especially due to your nice use of a well placed EW by his castle. Good job.
  • start with 2 farms rather than with a Blacksmith
  • try not to slow down your horses with buildings inbetween
  • keep your knights active and split up around the map

On the whole this was a good game on your part. Your start was very good and you even managed to get some creep cash at the top with some uruks. Pike useage was very good also, though at times you seemed to not put enough emphasis on creeping yourself. For example you had 3 pikes at the middle quite early on. Sending 2 of them to creep the wargs nearest his base would have been a good idea while the other guarded the one at your side. It looked as though you were trying to set up a containment strat, though imo containment this early doesnt work. Id stick with the pikes to every mill/farm until you get some upgraded wargs out to chase his knights then revert to containment. Otherwise if his knights break through your lines of pikes he is free to kill all the mills on your side of the map. It is also good to remember when playing vs players with nice horse micro to use the shortcut 'M' to switch between pike formations for running around structures in loose and quickly changing when needed.
  • Base Layout - armoury/warg pit at the back
  • More emphasis on creeping yourself
  • Make sure you destroy towers - started well but seemed to stop later on
Overall Rating: 5
