Battle for Middle Earth

Hello ppl

I had this game today vs a mate of mine, It was a ffg so i picked isen and he gondor, both to practise. It turned out pretty nice.

But i still need help, i couldnt crack him
Any comments appreaciated. Review also pls

Strategy

2 farm start > 2 soldier rush (mid) > knights > HS/FB rush > combo's > heroes > trebuchets

Tops

• Creeped 4 of the lairs
• Nice horsemicro, outmicroïng and killing pikes
• Good HS rush, took a chunk out of Isen's base, also destroyed armory
• Took mapcontrol after defeating Isen's army

Tips

• Idle units in base, use those combo's
• Didn't try to take mapcontrol back during mid-game

Strangely i could not find many mistakes. I think the only reason that you were not in advantage untill the end was because your harassment was not good. You were annoying with your horses and took down mills alot but you let your opponent just take it back right away so he could keep mapcontroll. Use the combo's you had or get faramir or boromir earlier to kill the pikes at the mills.

pit/mills start > uruk spam > pike spam > wargs > heroes > upgrades > combo's > balista's

Tops

• Took down both Gondor farms EG
• Blocked middle with pikes, delays horse harassment and HS rush
• Sarumans powers were used as often as possible
• Mapcontroll
• Sold towers before they got destroyed
• Ballrog took down entire castle, to bad the game was allready decided

Tips

• Lost xbow early, this stopped your creeping. Use them for creeping where the knights are unlikely to come EG
• You don't need 1 pike per mill to stop knight-harassment, wargs are more effective. Get them earlier
• Should have gotten banners earlier for the half warg battalions
• Started making berzerkers for harassment in late game. Use your wargs instead
• Industry could have been used more often
• Micro during attack on opponents castle was poor, you lost alot saruman and alot of units, but didn't really destroy anything

You made multiple mistakes but still you were in advantage. This changed after your attack on the Gondor base: you just couldn't take out his army of combo's and heroes. In advance, don't enter his base with his army inside but wait for him to come out, then beat him with your combo's, balista's, wargs and sarumans powers. If he doesn't come out, just destroy some wall segments with balistas and maybe some buildings before you engage his army, then you should be able to finish him.

Yes i already had a bad feeling when going it, it felt too narrow, ill kill some walls first next time

in the game i saw like three times things, of which i said, LiGhT tought you well e.g. meleeing pikes with knights

yes he did that like mad gave him 2 battalions of level 10 horses, unkillable for wargs...

yea light tought me well esspecially to make sure you have an outpost in late game in case of pro balrog micro was a fun game and like Madow said i need to work on my harasment and keep those farms, thanks for the tips
