This map is very unpleasant for isen due to direct path to middle farms with ruined towers, practically impossible to defend against early peasant rush.
At beginning good peasant rush by rohan, followed by Gimli. I thought I was doomed but when i fought off the initial attacks (barely) i saw some light at the end of a tunnel.
Slowly I managed to turn the tide with wargs taking care of heroes, and when it looked like it was all over I've almost blown it with the worst siege ever :(
Plz review (and plz disregard the last 20 min or so, I still dont know why I thought Rohan towers deal no damage to wargs (but then I don't get to use them that often ;))
Good Merry Micro. Lost your peasant spam in the Isengard base at the beginning. Rohirrim & Peasant Combo. Bad Rohirrim Micro. Good Gimli Micro. Good Legolas Creeping. Good Legolas Micro. Bad Aragorn Micro. Elven Allies a bit late. Didnt pay much attention to Mines. Defended your base a few times & Survived pretty long. AoD owned 1st Balrog. Bad AoD Micro.
First Plan: Peasant Spam to take out the Uruk Pit & The Citadel. Result: All peasants died to Base towers & Uruk Crossbows.
Second Plan: Getting Heroes to beat Isengard base. Result: Got pushed back into the base.
Third Plan: Getting Army of Dead to clear the way to the Isengard Base. Result: The Balrog Destroying the complete base.
[NO]Ebany Plot You tried to Peasant spam Isengard to take out the Uruk Pit and the rest of the base, but it ended in your Peasants dieing. You kept running into Porcupined Pikemen with your Rohirrim, which killed half of them always. Your Hero creeping was good but you kept losing Heroes to Lurtz & Wargs. You didnt pay much attention to the incoming Mines that destroyed 70% of your wall. You defended your base a long time with your Heroes (Aragorn, Legolas & Gimli), Yeomen & Base Towers. You got your AoD to the same time as he got Balrog the first time so his Balrog died. The second Balrog of him was summoned after your second AoD wave vanished and then you lost your Base.
Niloksim (Isengard)
Warchant the Uruk Crossbows to defend your Uruk pit. Porcupined your Pikemen vs Rohirrim in the right time. Crippled & Killed his Heroes a few times. Didnt see you use Carnage at any point. Good Pikemen/Warg Micro. Great Lurtz Micro. Quick Freezing Rain. Good Creeping. Lost Lurtz a few times. Lost your North-East Outpost. Great Mine coordination. You had 20 PP for like 2 minutes and didnt get Balrog althouh Rohan only had 8 PP by that time. Got you a disadvantage in the game. You couldve ended the game before if you would've payed attention to your PP. Used your second Balrog after second AoD army vanished and destroyed his complete base.
First Plan: Getting quick Uruk-Hai & Crossbow to control the middle Settlements/Towers. Result: Got Overwhelmed by Peasant spam and Merry.
Second Plan: Getting Fire, Siege Rams & Mines to Destroy his wall to get in. Result: Blew up 70% of his wall with Mines & Fire.
Third Plan: Getting Balrog and using him after AoD has gone. Result: Got into his base with balrog, killed Gimli & Destroyed all buildings apart from 1.
Niloksim Plot Although you didnt control the middle in the beginning, you managed to defend your base against his peasant rush and saved your Uruk pit, which was very useful for you to get Pikes quickly. When he got his Heroes you had Lurtz and crippled them and then finished them off, you couldve helped a bit with carnage... I didnt see it in use a single time. The mines you placed at his walls got you a big advantage, as you blew up his towers and his wall and then had free entrance into his base to keep him under pressure. Your Balrog finished him off after his second AoD wave has vanished.
Overall Plot The beginning was a nice micro by both teams and was pretty funny to watch. There was a nice back an forth at begin. The creeping was pretty good and some rivalry happened when you fought for a Troll Lair. The middle of the game was in my opinion the best and probably most entertaining part in the game. Both teams got their Main Special Ability in use (AoD & Balrog) and used them wisely. If you have nothing to do for 1 hour then you should really watch this Replay. Really entertaining.
My ratings for this game are:
[NO]Ebany 6.5/10 Niloksim 7.5/10 OVERALL 7/10
I think I will suggest this game as RotW contender.
- Lost Lurtz a few times. - You had 20 PP for like 2 minutes and didnt get Balrog althouh Rohan only had 8 PP by that time. Got you a disadvantage in the game. You couldve ended the game before if you would've payed attention to your PP.
At the ending of the game before the assault that led to balrog me and my oponent talked for a while. He already admitted defeat and I was very much surprised that I managed to made such a comeback. Then I made a bad decision and lost allmost all forces in that attack and I was so shocked for a while that I didnt even notice PP's for balrog
As for Lurtz, I think I only lost him to AOtD (twice)
