Nice game with a bit of luck on my side at the beginning. As the funds ran out, the opposition got weaker. Was a gg.

REPLAY REVIEW BY omgImbad - on 5/12/07
---------------------------------

Match Overview
This game featured a well executed ST rush that hurt his opponent, but didn't criple him. The build orders were nice, but both players were caught floating various amounts at bad times. This game was pretty slow after the first 5-10 minutes, and really demonstrated a lack of adaptation by the nod player.

-Skynny-
You floated some money at points, only because you really couldn't spend it on buildings (your defensive structures ques were full/you only had 1 or 2 gravs at the time), which is bad but it didn't cost you. Your use of ion storms to heal stormriders is a good tactic. You won because your ally never really adapted to your use of air and frankly you were just plain better than he was.
    Tips for improvement
  • I guess the main thing you need to improve on is targeting things with stormriders. Often times you let them shoot whatever they wanted which I guess was fine, but there were times where there were more "pressing" targets that needed to be killed.
  • Your strat was a slow kill. If he had decided to turtle and SW I don't know if you could have won (assuming he placed more than 4 sams and used stealth towers), but he didn't so you were fine. I think you got thrown off from the ST rush which is why it took so long to kill.

NewName`
You lost because you never adapted to his stormriders. You produced buggies the entire game. Buggies are so very outdated vs scrin air it's not even funny. EVEN when you get that laser upgrade they're still not that good. You never really placed any sam sites to save yourself and you produced (for the most part) nothing but scorpions to complement your buggies. You did switch to venoms but it was too late. You floated a bit, but only when your base was being destroyed/you were under attack.
    Tips for Improvement
  • You used buggies as your primary assault force at his expansion. He got 1 storm tower up and it killed about 10 buggies it seemed like. Buggies were a bad choice there. Rocket bikes are better because they deal far more anti-structural damage. Of course they die just as fast, but still.
  • Your ST rush didn't kill his crane. Enough said.
  • You built 2 STs late game to counter his air... but he swiftly owned them with a statsis field. STs destroy scrin air pretty well. Try them next time/

Reviewers Rating: 6
+A good match featuring some intense fits of action
+Good play by Skynny
-Poor adaptation
-Nothing but scorp-buggy-venom spam -- none of which was effective vs storm towers.

Alright props to skynny. I normally like your replays.. you had me scared at the start of this one. Not even that you would lose, but in all fairness... if the guy was good you probably would have. If he had scouted better and choose his targets wisely. HOWEVER he didn't and that's not your fault wink.gif I figured I'd be all upset and think the rest was just average.... but it wasn't!

This was a good game to watch smile.gif *cough maybe some tripods sooner cough* It was his armies lack of diversity that made defending your base so easy and put him in some real trouble later down the stretch.

Like I said sorry I thought the start was poor to watch, but everything you did for the cicumstances he left you with was great smile.gif fun watch! Keep em comin.

Cool play from Skynny, just waiting for nod's bleeding to be it's own demise. happy.gif

NewNames unit diversity was lacking the after early-mid game, no i'm not talking about scorps, instead I think that stealth tank useage may be the tool to hitting scrin's air units AND structures because bikes and buggies don't seem to cut it.

Skynny, have you encountered Nod players using anything besides buggies or bikes to give you a run for your money?
