You need the following program to edit *.big files:

Attached File finalbig040b.zip
Size: 489.2k
Number of downloads: 11986
Player Name Side Team

You can extract the music from music.big.
I dont know whether you can really edit INI.big, because this program is designed for C&C Generals and BFME1.
Back up the files first so you can always put it back without having to reinstall.

Version 4.0 supports Star Wars: EAW files too (MEG-files).

I have always wanted to have the LOTR music but never wanted to purchase the CD's. Sounds like a good method to extract the music. My only question is does this have a negative effect on the actual game files and if i do extract the music will this leave my game without any music??

Thanks

You just backup the files, extract them in a new folder. Start the game and if everything works properly you can delete the backup biggies.

Best way is just to copy the music.big file to another folder. Then just extract them from there. No need to even delete anything when you are done.

Thanks a bunch for this tool! This thing rocks!

I also got problems with this program but I figured it out at last:D

You got to open the program and then file>open> then the file called : music.BIG, which is located in your bfme2 directory.
When u have opened the file with your newly downloaded program, you hit edit>extract all>OK> and place the files somewhere.

when its finished with the extraction you look where u put the files, and there WILL be a folder called data>audio>tracks> and all you new beautiful music will be there in mp3. biggrin.gif ENJOY!

btw where is the rohan songs, what's they called??
