IMO Seb must've practised this strat before SNF with Cab, Tomi or DevM (or other quite active top players) playing PE and it must've worked then. Otherwise he wouldn't take such risk with unrealiable/unplayed strat and instead would go typical 4ESRax strat which he probably mastered to its limits.
On top of this it may have been the strategy developed for this map by the Master of US - Contador That might be a part of the reason why Wu trolled Tomi in the end.
And you seem to know me very wrong about the risks, I'm exactly at the opposite of what you describe.
I don't know Seb if I understand you correctly.
So you played unpractised strategy, which you think is not a risky choice? (opposite state to my presumption) What I meant in my previous post is just that you must've practised it, otherwise it would be too risky to use it in highest competitive match. Isn't it accordant with common sense?
Or maybe you don't take risk value into consideration when choosing a strat.
I played it before, but not at the highest level. Why would I care? It's a game and I wanted to play it like that, I knew it could work and then everyone would be impressed, I knew it could fail and then I just had to win the other games.
Even before it started, I guessed for myself every army he'd take at every round, and it was a 100%. So I knew, in all of the 5 games, this one I didn't even plan to need the win.
I actually expected to win game 2, and just end it on a 3-1, but it turned out my first game as WM was at the opposite of what I'm able and should have done. And I ended up having to play brit, which was even more risky than this US strat if you ask me, because I didn't play 1v1 as brit vs pe since months, and certainly not vs any top pe player at all on this patch.
