They're saying OF is strongest on Ango. Always has been.

Would you like to nerf Ango?

Otherwise what you're suggesting is making OF balanced on Ango and suck on every other map.

I guess I came in here after all the cry posts were invised, but I don't see what's unfair. The PE player played really well and minimized his losses. He had a good tech path and pretty much never got his resources cut off completely for any good length of time, but the American player did get his resources cut-off several times. I think a mortar would have gone a long way to clearing out some of the accumulating forces near his base. Also, more mines, I only saw mines placed 1 time and he forgot about the engineers that placed the mines, so an armored car took them out easily. So, I don't think the American player was cheated by the balance patch in any way, other than maybe his strafe didn't eradicate the entire PE force it was called upon, as it does in retail. PE player just played better.

It seems that Siberian is strong in every faction...you can sense his calm from his game play...

your going to tell me that siberian is that much of a better player then tomi?I don't think so.This patch is a mega fail.It just proves that if you cry about something long enough, you'll get what you want.

Yes, i'm afraid i'm saying just that. On this map, and with these armies, Siberian played BETTER than Tomitoma. I really don't think you can blame a patch if your expectations of a player are wildly outrageous, in line with the fact that he will win every tournament or something. As you can see with the second game as well, Tomi just does not know how to counter good OF play. I've won on this map as well, with all the armies, against all the armies, with good opponents. Siberian's strat was powerful, and Tomi did not know how to counter it. Macro is important in every game ( ignore my signature for a while pls tongue.gif ) and here Tomi's was just not up to scratch i'm afraid. I have tremendous respect for that man's gameplaying skills, but i really feel that he was out of practice against OF factions, resulting in his loss. WP GG congratulations on winning the Tournament Siberian smile.gif

This is a classic attack from PE on ango and strong as. I think you have to focus everything on one side, I find a 1 engineer start helps alot too. Even throwing up a sandbag at the cutoff point on the right straight after you cap it with your engineer's first cap helps, then cap the munitions point and fuel with your engineer and devote everything to holding the fuel till you get enough for m8 or AT gun. I think you have to change your game on ango purely to stop that cutoff because 5 grens are really hard to stop. As soon as you push them back, mine the strat point and back off, come back in after they hit the mine.

So hard to stop though but I'd like to see someone try it.

Ha, that's funny what exactly did Tomitoma wrong to counter this OF faction, he didn't engage and he went for Motor pool and his micro was decent. He also threw up a medic tent to make the mp drain less hard on him.

You can't say that Tomi lost because he played bad.

You can say though that Siberian won because he played good.

But what's the fun of a match up between 2 players being only decided by the skill of 1 player (the pe player) and not 2 of them?

I just failed in that tournament. Plus, I had a very bad behaviour. I will try to do better in the next tournament and win it.
