I don't think going for the KT was a mistake, particularly when he had already started down the left side Terror tree and had propaganda. Charging the KT alone past midfield into two enemy 57s was the mistake. Compounded by not reversing it immediately when being hit by AP rounds. He had two VPs and the KT could have sat next to the middle VP for denial. Ammo could have gone into making a few more repair bunkers and a stuka. Some ammo best held in reserve for emergency propaganda. He had snipers to take out creeping 57s.
