Kleatus (Armor) Vs. EConDope (Blitz)

A game I played this afternoon on Angoville. It was a pretty good start for both players, with climactic battles, some of which I shouldn't have won but did.

One thing this game showed to me was that the Pershing is simply not the tank it should be for 900MP, considering it doesn't come with a squad of rifleman or rangers. Meh, a good game in the end with calliopes, a tiger, a Pershing, and lots of barraging all over the place biggrin.gif

Blitz can keep coming back with just manpower, I find it very difficult to deal with, making it my most feared doctrine of the 3 ph34r.gif

Good game if you were my opponent and a member of this forum, would love comments and a review biggrin.gif

P.S. I know I idled some units here and there, so don't hit me with that one, and my retarded Jeep micro wacko.gif, I just got out of class and was pretty droopy eyed, but I knew I had to step it up at that point biggrin.gif

Replays: 3 Game:
Although I'm not a reviewer, I'll add a few comments for what it's worth. (Just don't go and look at my rating! sleep.gif )

Kleatus: 1. Let's just say that the jeep was a great delayer on the east high fuel cap.
2. Great map control from 4:00 min mark on.
3. You got grenades but passed up a few prime opportunities to use them on a couple of pinned volks.
4. With the huge munitions store you had, a few choice mines might have come in handy.
5. Don't forget that even a quad is a HT and can reinforce riflemen in the field.

EConDope: 1. I know that once you start to lose map control, it becomes a slippery downhill ride! However, small arms fire is probably the slowest way to destroy an enemy OP. Instead, I suggest you take those VG's and cap like crazy and use 50 munitions to upgrade a Pio and have them do it in 1/4 of the time.
2. A few more MG squads might have been helpful in keeping the rifleman spam at bay.
3. Also, once you hit tier 2, upgrade those VG with an MG40's. These guys are awesome for walking through a rifleman squad (even with BARS) and ripping it apart.
4. A STUG can pretty well hit out to the full range of it's vision. When engaging riflemen (and their famous stickies), it may be more prudent to walk backwards than forwards. Remember, 1 stickie=engine damaged and 2 stickies=engine destroyed and no matter how hard you pray, their retreat is like watching paint dry.
5. When skipping tier 2 Kreig Barracks, capture any unmanned enemy AT's with a cheap Pio, you'll be glad you did when the quads show up.
6. Remember, to uncloak those expensive Sturmtruppen before you retreat them, if you can. They move a LOt faster then.
7. And a final suggestion, don't bunch up the Sturmtruppen for two reasons. (a) They're more effective if they have the enemy in a "crossfire" killzone. and (b) the calliope barrage (or other arty)will only take out one if it happens.

Otherwise, another game that helps everyone improve their own game. biggrin.gif

I'm glad you looked at my jeep in a positive light, I thought I lost it rather stupidly, but that was in the heat of the moment I geuss...

Thanks for the comments, more welcome biggrin.gif

Also, if you like watching replays and giving feedback apply for RR, we're currently in need of a few more !
