Fatties are not OP.

That is your opinion.

I think they could do with less range but faster projectiles. That would "lessen factional diversity" but whatever, the rage is what is making it OP in my opinion.

The Cybran structure tree seems highly underused. You utilized it very well.

On a side note, I played a 1v1 against a guy who used Gundam's exact strategy (slightly less well executed though) against me who I beat with bomb bouncers biggrin.gif. I woul've liked so see some of those.

actually my game with spuddy before this one was kinda like that, he made megas, unit deto, cicades, bombouncers

all i did was make 5 fattys and a small land blob of units

Cicadas and bomb bouncers? That's like the ultimate land unit combo (except for capturing an opponent's engy and building cicadas and jackhammers). How on Earth did he lose?

Fatboys cut through the bombbouncer's shield and the cicada's health in seconds. Then I just died before I could get in range.

Megas can beat fatboys with micro, Cicadas absolutely rape them and bomb bouncers aren't very good against mini XPs, but they totally rape basic land and air units and are extremely cheap.... so if htey coutnered fatboys as well, uef would have nothing that could hurt them.

You *Can* Micro fatboys with megas, but as soon as it gets to a few...

You might be able to micro round them with megaliths, but they also have the home field advantage and can use their buildings with shields and commander repair to their advantage while you have to keep weaving. And as stated, once you get more than 2 or 3 it becomes impossible to dodge.
Cicadas might be a viable counter but i've not tested it enough yet and it seems like it'd primarily be a defensive thing while you scrape around to get something else.

Obviously, more than a few fatboys becomes troublesome for megaliths. Nobody is trying to tell you that you can dodge 10 fatboys with a a blob of 10 megas.

Cicadas, however, completely change the game. Cicadas are fast and maneuverable and, more importantly, you only need one. It is exceptionally easy to dodge multiple fatboys with a cicada by having it run in circles while the invisible units rape the fatties. I have a replay against keyboard where I killed a group of 3 fatboys + tanks with a few loyalists + 2 megas + cicada. I lost a couple loyalists and maybe 20% of the cicada's HP. If you don't micro the Cicadas, yeah they died pretty fast... but that's stupidly wasteful of you, isn't it?

So the cybran needs to get two minor experimentals unlocked to counter fatties? Do you think the UEF player during this time may get something else? Like AC1k?

Megaliths are not necessary to counter fatties. Loyalists + cicadas are perfectly capable of doing it themselves.

Also, everybody knows gunships against Cybran is fail. Did you even watch the replay? Three were taken out with structure detonate and a couple adaptors.

Maybe i'm doin' it wrong but I didn't find it so easy to dodge multiple fatboys while getting in range with the cicada. However I will admit if you can manage it with your first cicada vs their first fatboy you're at an advantage. But you have to cross a lot of distance, which might be possible on open palms but on, for instance, arctic? Good luck to you chasing a fatboy down on that map
