- Baron, you'd probably beat the crap out of me in a 1v1 wink.gif

Perhaps... we'll have to play one sometime in the near future thumb.gif

@ CHRING, FFA is awesome because anything can happen. The guy you nearly wiped out (but left alive) could come back and wipe you out. People gang up on the smuck trying to pull an early and cheesy victory (*cough*H|Druckwelle*cough*). You can get two or more people teaming up to take out a stronger player... but you have to watch your back for a back-stab (and look out for an opportune moment for a surgical strike of your own) because in the end there is only one winner.

This game was interesting at the beginning (I liked when pulse's base got destroyed) but how on earth can you say this was a surprise ending? What happened this FFA is the same as what happens every FFA... base sprawl + spam arty/nuke/bships and win.

I was refering more to the suprizer killing the last ACU. But still, coming back from my base being destroyed was fun and fairly suprising...

Pulse.. I do wonder why you even tried a buildorder like this.. ONLY invest in eco. You were sooo lucky that you survived the first 10 minutes..

Is that what this game means? If you ONLY focus on mass conversion, and with a lot of luck you make it, you won the game.

Because a lot of other players were building a lot of units, experimentals, nukes, etc etc. They all lost to the massive eco.

Somehow it sounds bad for the game that this is possible smile.gif

The trick is to get mass conversion at the "sweet spot" (not too soon, not too late). Also, not everyone playing (me) are pros at FFA. I think that was my 3rd or 4th time ever.

The sweet spot? Lol, pulse did NOTHING else but build powerplants, and get mass conversion. And then build some more powerplants.

Pulse, you're saying:
"It's not all down to luck. Sure luck helps, but there's many things I did to maximise my chances, one of them being that I conserved my power pool when I refugeed. "
You were just VERY lucky they left your commander alone, after they erased everything you had (except for that one engineer..). They could have easily taken your commander as well. Can you tell what other of the many things you did?

I'm not saying your game was shit, I'm just saying that your start-build can only work if you are very very lucky. Once you got mass conversion, you did a good job in indeed using that eco to become extremely powerfull!

I will be releasing a guide on my play style shortly, covering everything you want to know. (I kept my commander out of vision range and i knew their radar wouldn't cover my base, moreover the fact it was a FFA meant that a single player wouldn't want to lose their blob so another player can roll over them)
