splatted was right to bring the game micro around the side rather than up the middle.. aeon has no chance vs uef engaging on that hill vs demolishers, if uef has all its forces there, you're not going to be able to micro around the sides since you'll need everything there to defend, which will surely fail anyway.
p shields vs shotjas with tanks can be a very bad move early on, first of all, you're not going to be able to get p shields until you would otherwise be able to get TMD, which is not immediately.. secondly, if you go for p shields, the more effective counter, afterburn, is now too far away. plus if you go for afterburn instead you won't find yourself doing things like overproducing p shields and being too low on tanks.
i like the idea of turtling against aeon as uef, after making mobile arty. that is, mex guns and fortified artillery to disruptors instead of fatboys
playing as uef on open palms, i wonder at what point it's a good idea to get the increased mass income tech.. with all those mass points its probably effective.
