Command & Conquer 4: The Basics

By x ScoPeZz - 22nd March 2010 - 17:23 PM

Once you have made your mind up and decided on which class you would like to begin with you will then be deployed on the battlefield with your Crawler. Your Crawler is like your fortress, it's where you get everything from ranging from units, structures and support powers. When your Crawler lands and you select it, it will bring up a new interface on your screen containing, unit selections, unpacking, stances, and upgrade researches.

Next thing you're going to see is flashes on the mini-map which is located to the left of your screen, these flashes represent where the Tiberium is located on the map. Tiberium is no longer used for harvesting, it is now used to give you research points in order to upgrade or move up tiers. There's two kinds of Tiberium, blue, and green. Green is spawned on each side of you and your opponents map whereas blue is spawned in the middle in order for both teams to fight for it. To capture Tiberium all you must do is select a ny ground unit and hover over it to pick it up. Scoring is just as easy, all you do is take it back to your deploy zone where you first started off, scoring more research points the more you collect.

You will also notice there are numbers 1 to 5 spread about the map, these are TCN Capture points, and are the main objective in Domination mode. Domination mode is currently the only game mode available to play. The objective is to accumulate victory points by capturing TCN Nodes that spreads out over the map, the minimum amount of TCN nods you need to control is 3 out of 5 nodes, capturing additional nodes will allow you to accumulate victory points faster.

To capture these points all you must do is have ground units or a crawler close by it. If you are going to fight for it you need to have more units than your opponent. Attacking an enemy controlled TCN point also makes the control meter go down considerably faster.
