The Immortal is a new unit to Starcraft 2. It functions as an anti-siege weapon and has a very powerful, hardened shield to repel powerful attacks. Although, the powerful shield does not activate from light attacks, so lightly armored units will make short work of this otherwise powerful unit. The Immortal is built from the Gateway/Warpgate, but requires a Twilight Council. Its armor, attack and shields can also be upgraded.
