The Protoss Mothership is a new unit to Starcraft 2. It is the Protoss' ultimate weapon of war, with a vast array of abilities and firepower to boost. It is constructed from the Nexus, but requires a Fleet Beacon. It can passively cloak nearby ground units and structures with its Cloaking Field, instantly travel back to a target owned building with Wormhole Transit, incapacitate units in a target area with Vortex, or slow movement and attack speed of units in a target area with Temporal Rift. To compensate for this massive amount of power, the Mothership is not cheap, takes considerable supply and only one Mothership can be in play at any given time.
