The Stalker is a new unit to Starcraft 2. It functions much the same as the Dragoon from the original Starcraft, with a few differences. The Stalker is available from the Gateway/Warpgate after the construction of a Cybernetics Core. It has a special ability called Blink, allowing it to teleport a short distance. This ability gives the Stalker a number of strategic uses such as closing in on retreating troops or maneuvering past obstacles. The Stalker's armor, weapons and shields can also be upgraded from the Cybernetics Core.
