2.02 v8.0.1 is a bug fix patch for several small issues with v8.0.0, but it's also the first step in our commitment to move towards a patching process with fewer balance changes per patch.
The main bugs fixed by v8.0.1 are:
- Out of sync from recruiting ring heroes.
- Ballista moving right up to their target before shooting.
- Gothmog being eaten by a mountain troll.

here With a hotfix, the changes to 2.02 aren't as sweeping as when big patches like v8 were released. That means we didn't want to needlessly make everyone need to download a huge patch again,
so you will download v8.0.1 on top of v8.
If you're new to the community and haven't played 2.02 before you will need to download v8
from our download page and then v8.0.1 in order to play with others online.
